5 Reasons to Join Orr Lake Golf Club
REASON #1 -A fun golf club should start with a fun
golf course. Orr Lake Golf Club’s par 71 plays to only 5700 yards from the back tees. Not a long course by any stretch, but this golf course is set up with lots of hole variety and great hazard placements to keep the game interesting. Our famous, or in some cases infamous hole #2 and hole #6 are 2 great examples of this. Hole #2 is only around 100 yards but plays downhill over a pond and has captured many a ball. Hole #6 is (from the tips) a 600 yard par 5 that requires 5 good shots to obtain par. We have Par 3’s as short at 97 yards and as long as 175 yards, Par 4’s as short as 230 yards and as long as 400 yards and Par 5’s as short as 450 yards and as long as 600 yards. This helps make the layout of Orr Lake fun and interesting for you to play.
REASON #2 – Constant reinvestment.
Since the new owners took over they have been constantly reinvesting their money back into the club demonstrating that their primary interest is in your enjoyment. The irrigation system has been upgraded and added onto so that even through the most stressful conditions, Orr Lake GC is kept green and nicely playable. Clubhouse/proshop improvements have taken place every winter so they are ready to host your weddings/anniversary or birthday parties. Regular upgrades that have minimal impact on play are a constant sight at Orr Lake Golf Club many of which have been done at the suggestions of members. With the changes we make you know our goal is your enjoyment of spending time here.

One of the greatest compliments we receive is that we like our members and they feel it. As a semi-private golf course, members are an important part of our business and we like to make them feel that way. With only accepting 125 members our goal is to get to know the names of our members, your preferred tee times and try to accommodate your needs as best we can. REASON #4 – Lots of opportunity to meet other members.
Once you join our club if you are looking to meet other people we will introduce you to people who enjoy playing at a similar time to you. One of the other great ways to meet more of the members is to join one of our 3 Leagues. All our Leagues are about relaxing and enjoying the day out with other people. With a Seniors League, Ladies League and Men’s League we have lots of opportunities for you to meet new people. Great for golf memberships close to Barrie, Wasaga Beach, Midland, Penetanguishene and Orillia
