Our 19th Season is now completed and we thought we would mention the projects we completed and are finishing.
Hole #1 – New starter hut for the really busy days at the course
Hole #2 – New Red tee deck added, pruning of trees around white tee deck to increase sunlight
Hole #5 – New Yellow tee, Removed old long bunker and added 2 smaller ones, New drain between tees and Fairway to get rid on the standing water after big storms (we expect a bit more work will be required with this but won’t know where until we get the big rains)
Hole #6 – New 8″ Main drain with side drains to help dry out the landing area, Filled in and sodded the first bunker under the big maple tree, Removed dead trees between 5&6 Fairways and added 2 new maple trees, Thinned out Poplar Trees and selectively removed and pruned other trees between 6 and 7 to increase sunlight on the 6th green
Hole #7 – Cleared out some poplar trees on left side of back tee to increase sunlight
Hole #9 – Added front part to back tee, Removed trees from beside back tee to increase sunlight, Moved Yellow tee forward and closer to fairway (as instructed by the owner)
Hole #12 – Cleared out some trees around back tee to increase sunlight
Hole #13 – Added new, bigger Red tee, Added 3 strategically placed trees along fairway (if you hit it straight they really shouldn’t come into play.
Hole #14 – New larger White/Red tee deck
Hole #15 – Expanded white tee sideways and cleared out behind yellow tee so you can see the entire landing area off drive
Hole #16 – Currently adding a new path from 16 green to 17 tee deck that goes around the green. Will then cut down long grass behind green as well.
Hole #17 – Moving white/blue tee back to reduce the number of players who wait for the green to clear before hitting. This will help speed up play and make a more strategic hole as the pond will come more into play. Also moved and increased the size of the yellow tees.
Other stuff….- We added a new gate (which actually received a lot of positive comments) to help stop cart thefts, a new pump control house to reduce rodents from accessing our control systems, and finally benches throughout the course for all the golfers walking
