Welcome back to the Orr Lake Tuesday Evening Ladies League! We are so excited about the changes this year and are anxious to get started in May.
This year, we are continuing our shotgun start at 5:45pm! For those of you that don’t know, a shotgun start is a format in which all groups of players tee off simultaneously from different holes. Each hole on a course will be the starting hole for one or more foursomes. Our hope for this is having a more social environment for everyone which means more fun.
The way this will work is everyone will meet every Tuesday Evening at 5:20pm in the Dancehall. From there we will start drawing names based on who is there that day to create our groups and then send everyone off at 5:45pm. Don’t worry, if you have anyone that you want to be playing with every week, that is still an option. We will have a permanent card with all 4(or 3, or 2) names on it that can be drawn every week.
Our scoring for points will be the same as it has always been, meaning that the only score you are trying to beat is your own from the week before. The reason we do it like this is because we want to keep golf fun and as less stressful as possible, creating a more enjoyable experience. See our point scoring below.

- 2 points for tying last week’s score
- 3 points for points beating last weeks score by 2
- 4 Points for beating last week’s score by 5
- 5 Points for beating last week’s score by 7 or more
